Course Description

Economics is a required course which takes students from the explanation of what economics is through the examination of choices, the different economic systems, and ultimately how markets work.  This introductory course will analyze the effects of supply and demand how choices affect society.  Economics is a single semester course comprised of four primary units:

Each unit will include daily assignments, projects, discussions, as well as a summative test at the end of each unit.  Be prepared to participate in class daily in discussions as well as group work because you will be graded on participation as well as academic performance.  Economics is a class which will combine principles from history, philosophy, math, and science so be prepared each day to discuss topics and ask questions.
