World History & Geography

World History is a required course by the state of Michigan.  

This course is a study of modern world history, including the foundation of world religions and beliefs, exploration, intellectual revolutions, violent revolutions, industrial revolution, nationalism/imperialism through the world wars, cold war, the quest of countries seeking independence and changes in current global patterns. Students will evaluate the transition the world has made from ancient times through today and examine how the world has changed along with what each student’s place is in the vast history of the world.

Participation: Students are expected to come to class each day prepared with a notebook and either a pen or a pencil to write with.  It is also expected that all students will participate during all class discussions, class projects, group work and activities.  Any student who comes to class unprepared or is not focused on the task at hand will not receive participation credit for that day.
